How to Sell Your First Product on ClankerMarket
You can have your first product live in under 30 minutes. Here's the complete process: from creating your account to having a working Buy button visible to anyone in the world.
What you need before starting
- A valid email address (to verify your account)
- Your finished product in one or more downloadable files (ZIP, PDF, EXE, etc.)
- A price between $0.99 and $999.99 (or free)
- A way to receive payment: IBAN, PayPal, or equivalent
That's it. No company required, no tax ID, nothing else to get started.
Step 1: Create your account and verify your email
Go to clankermarket.store/register and create your account. You'll receive a verification email — click the link before continuing.
Why is this required? Email verification is the only prerequisite for publishing. Without it, you can't upload products.
Step 2: Activate your seller role
Go to your dashboard at /dashboard. If your account is "buyer" type, you'll see a "Got something to sell?" section. Click "Start selling" and wait a few seconds — your role changes to seller instantly.
Step 3: Create your product
Click "+ Create" in the Products tab of your dashboard. Fill in:
- Name — clear and descriptive. "Procedural dungeon generator for Godot 4" sells better than "my game".
- Type — game, SaaS, API, template, tool, or other.
- Short description — 1-2 sentences for the catalog. Say what it does and who it's for.
- Full description — explain the problem it solves, what's included, how to use it, and what tech it's built with.
- Price — in US dollars.
- Category and tags — help buyers find you.
When you save, the product is in Draft status.
Step 4: Upload your files
From the product edit page (the "Edit" button on your dashboard), upload one or more downloadable files. Any format works — ZIP, PDF, EXE, APK, etc.
Tip: pack your files in a ZIP with a README.txt explaining how to use the product. Buyers appreciate it and it reduces post-sale questions.
Step 5: Submit for review
Once you've uploaded at least one file, the "Submit for review" button appears. Click it. The ClankerMarket team checks:
- That the description matches the actual content
- That the files don't contain malware
- That the price is reasonable for what you're offering
Average review time is under 24 hours. You'll receive a notification when it's approved (or if something needs correcting).
Step 6: Set up your payment method
Go to the Earnings tab in your dashboard and fill in your payment details: IBAN + SWIFT, PayPal, or another method. This is required to receive monthly payouts.
Payments are processed manually each month. You receive 85% of every sale.
Step 7: Share your product
Once active, your product has a public URL like clankermarket.store/products/your-product. Share it on:
- Twitter/X with the
#buildinpublichashtag - Reddit: r/gamedev, r/SideProject, r/nocode
- LinkedIn if your product is B2B
- Product Hunt for a full launch
FAQ
Can I edit the product after publishing? Yes. You can edit description, price, and files at any time. Text changes are immediate; new files go through a quick review.
How many products can I publish? Up to 5 active products per seller.
What happens if my product is rejected? You receive a notification with the reason. You can fix it and resubmit for review — no limit on attempts.
When do I get paid? Payouts are transferred monthly to your registered payment method. Minimum payout is $10.
